Aiming to implement the global UN Sustainable Development Goal Number One, FEF is seeking to achieve this goal by supporting and empowering the poor and marginalized people – women, men, girls, boys of all ages and ethnicities – particularly in rural areas. Our work also contributes to the achievement of SDG Number Four that aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
What We Do
Child Sponsorship Program
FEF strongly believes in the power of education in fighting poverty. Our ultimate goal is to help every child go to school and helping parents and teachers create effective school learning and nurture children in their learning. It is the right of every child to have educational opportunities.
Infrastructure Program
This program aims at establishing conducive learning environment for schools in the rural areas of Moshi by renovating classes, toilets,staff offices, and even making new libraries, kitchen etc
Family Sustainability Program
We provide livestock and entrepreneurship training to selected families. We follow up the care of the livestock with the help of volunteers, and once the livestock reproduce, we redistribute part of them to other poor families
Porter Support Program
We start with selecting young men from poor families to work with us as porters but in the end we sponsor them to further their education and create an alternative career. We help them save money for their future too.
School Uniforms Program
The project is aiming at helping every able child to attend school by wearing proper school uniforms. This project will cover shorts, shirts for boys and skirts, a blouse for girls. It will also cover shoes, socks, and sweaters for both girls and boys. Apart from uniforms, FEF intends to support school children with stationaries.
Counselling Program
Freedom Education Foundation has a guidance and counseling programs in different areas of human life. These programs are conducted at our main offices located at KDC-Moshi Municipality. We also conduct guidance and counseling at schools and colleges with a prime purpose of helping the youth live a worthwhile life.
